The Rivian R2 is a future vehicle from Rivian, estimated to be available in the first half of 2026.
The R2 will be offered in single, double, and triple motor configurations, with the single motor starting at an estimated $45,000.
The triple motor version will offer a 0-60 mph time of less than 3 seconds, and all 3 variants will have over 300 miles of EV range, though we expect the exact number will vary by trim.
The R2 has plenty of adventure-inspired goodness, from a rear-window that retracts to allow the carry of surfboards or skis, seats the fold flat not just in the second row but also in the first - perfect for camping, and a flashlight in the door that doubles as entry lighting. It also features a large frunk big enough for carry-on luggage, not one but two glove boxes in the front under-dash, and a wide-aperture rear hatch opening.
