A bigger battery can offer you more range, but that comes at a cost - literally and figuratively. Bigger batteries are more expensive, add more weight to the car (which can wear your tires and brakes faster) and because of that extra weight, makes ride and handling worse. You should buy as much battery as you need, but consider the downsides before you buy MORE than you need.
