Kia has taken the wraps off of a revised EV6 in their home market of South Korea, showing us a preview of a design we suspect will reach us here in North America later this year.
The changes are more than just skin deep, as this refresh brings interior improvements and a new, bigger 84 kWh battery that can charge 10-80% in just 18 minutes at the right charging station. This new battery is rated for 307 miles in Korea, though we'll have to wait for EPA ratings to get an official North American range estimate.
Inside, the EV6 gets a new curved display that delivers both the instrument cluster and the infotainment. There's also a revised steering wheel, and a new fingerprint reader that allows drivers to start their car without the key.
Kia says other improvements have been made to ride comfort, cabin noise, and body rigidity.
Since this is a Korean-market announcement, we'll have to wait for details on North American models including price, availability, and whether Kia adds or deletes any optioned equipment.
More to come.
